This is a Limited Edition chiarograph on black paper available in two editions:
- Regular edition measuring 13" x 7" (inches) and a limited edition of 295 pieces.
- Deluxe edition measuring 13" x 7" (inches) and a limited edition of 95 pieces. The deluxe edition pieces also feature a stunning hand-drawn remarque sketch by Harrison Ellenshaw himself below the main picture and incredible hand-embellishment paint strokes on the artwork itself.
Each art piece in each Limited Edition is hand-signed and individually hand-numbered. The artwork you receive will be numbered out of the total limited edition size (e.g. 37/95).
Your artwork will also arrive with an official Disney Certificate of Authenticity which references your unique edition number.
As a signed- and numbered- limited edition, this is a highly collectable work of art.
Each art piece in the Deluxe Edition is also personally hand-embellished with unique application of additional paint strokes and detailing. This makes every piece unique and adds incredible dimension, texture and depth to the artwork.
Note: the regular edition of this art piece does not feature the hand-remarque sketch as shown on the image featured on this page.
How will my artwork arrive?
You must select from one of two options:
- Unframed - your artwork will be shipped to you flat.
Deluxe Studio Framed - your artwork will be assembled into a custom, hand-built frame, with acid-free, preservation matting and special UV-filtering plexiglass. You should contact us to discuss the frame style options available for this art piece. We can offer a variety of frame styles to suit your personal preference and tastes and will email you sample images for your review. If you purchase this artwork framed without first contacting us, your artwork will be framed in the default frame style, that has been specially and carefully chosen to complement and accentuate the colours and style of this artwork.

What is a "chiarograph"?
Chiarography (pronounced keer-ography) requires an intensive amount of hand preparation and attention. First, each sheet of 485 gram, archival, acid-free black paper undergoes multiple hand-brushed basecoats of various medias, which will become the printed area. This hand application of basecoats create the brush stroke texture behind the printed image and ensures each piece in the edition is unique, as no two pieces will ever have the same hand painted undercoat.
Using archival, pigmented inks, the chiarograph printing process identifies the undercoat and prints only on the hand painted area thereby applying the artwork over the texture, and out to the edges of the brushwork. This creates a uniquely organic and whimsical effect to the outer border of each image. Each work of art is then hand-embellished with paint before undergoing three separate coats of hand applied varnish which not only provides UV protection to the image, but results in a luminous sheen to the finish.
